And So It Goes

Hi All,

Well, what can I say, this economy has me down so I did something proactive. I shut down my Etsy shop to save money. I am now at artfire.com because an artist can open a shop for free. It is amazing the quality there too. And as of yet, it is not over-run with product. Of course, the more buzz the more chance that it will be like all the others, but I really like the set up and the subdivisions for product. You can find products by titles such as Design, Handmade, Supplies, etc. What a great way to find an artist. Also, what a great way to sell. It was so exciting to see my items on the first page and easy to find without searching page after page.

And if you like Knitting and Pod casts, you probably already know about Yarn Craft with Liz and Zontee who are part of Lions Brand Yarns and talk about all kinds of amazing things. For their Halloween Episode in 2009 they interviewed one of the creators of Artfire.com. This was a very informative episode and I was very anxious to open my artfire shop as soon as possible after listening to them.

I now have upgraded to Verified Artist because of the options and still am spending far less than any other shopping community I have come across. What a joy to have a great pod cast to listen to and to get such great tips to promote my business.

All that to say, I am trying to get on to Facebook so I can link my artfire shop with Facebook and people can shop from there. Isn't that a first? I will have a mini shop that you can actually buy from without logging in or giving extra information to purchase. More like shopping at the mail, since you are there anyway, why not check things out. With this great added benefit, I am unable to get to my facebook page and set it up. Bummer! Well, I have Facebook tech people looking into it for me so hopefully it will all be set up soon.

In the mean time, check out my shop and let me know what you think! I would love to hear your opinion. Have a blessed week.

Liana
